The Family & Evidence Centre Denmark
The Family & Evidence Centre Denmark (FEC) was created in 2006 and is located in the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen.
With a mission to improve the lives of children and youth with anti-social behavior – and the lives of their families – we began to implement and provide Multisystemic Therapy (MST), one of the leading evidence based practices for youth with violent and anti-social behavior and at risk for out of home placement. Since then we have been in a process of expanding our range of activities in order to strengthen the evidence-based agenda in child and youth welfare, mental health and juvenile justice.
We provide our partners both evidence-based treatment programs such as Multisystemic Therapy (MST), Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care (MTFC) or Multisystemic Therapy-Contingency Management (MST-CM), models of cooperation that ensure financial predictability, and a wide range of knowledge about the most effective interventions for children, adolescents and families, including
- how to use and implement treatment programs in order to strengthen the outcomes for children, youth and families
- how to measure and document social work and strengthen the local quality assurance of social services
- how to strengthen practitioners’ job satisfaction and professional pride by working with an ongoing documentation and evaluation of their work
In this work, the task is our primary concern. Then we think of the framework for solving it.
We are therefore open to unconventional and innovative models of cooperation, including public-private partnerships, interdisciplinary project organizations, networking and international cooperation.
